The 32-agent AI hedge fund for modern markets.
Institutional-grade quant trading intelligence, organized like Wall Street. A CEO agent sets the macro stance, a research desk reads the tape, five departments coordinate every move — and an emergency reflex pulls the plug before you ever feel a drawdown.
> CEO.stance NORMAL > MacroOfficer RISK_ON > Risk.gate OPEN > Strategy.bank 7 active > Emergency.level L0 > Last decision BUY XAUUSD · conf 0.78 > FactChecker ✓ signed > DoubleChecker ✓ signed
Illustrative — simulated backtest, not a live track record.
Not a bot. A fund.
Most retail trading software is a single model with a UI. iQntX is an organization — built with the same separation of concerns a real hedge fund uses to survive a 30-year career instead of a 30-day winning streak.
32-agent hedge fund architecture
A CEO sets stance. A Macro desk reads geopolitics. Five departments — Risk, Strategy, Execution, Intelligence, Macro — coordinate every move. No single point of failure, no black-box monolith.
Subscription-first AI routing
Claude (Max x20), Codex CLI, Anthropic API, OpenAI API — four routes, circuit-broken, cost-tracked. The cheap path is tried first, the API path is the fallback. You get institutional brains at retail cost.
Emergency reflex (L4 halt)
An independent watchdog can override every other agent — including the CEO — if drawdown, margin, or stop-loss invariants break. The system fails closed. Survival is non-negotiable.
Markdown reasoning audit trail
Every decision writes to disk as markdown, plus a row in Postgres. You can read why the fund did what it did, in plain English, weeks after the trade closed. No more 'the bot just did it.'
Self-optimizing nightly loop
Every night, a Self-Optimizer agent reads the day's journal, scores what worked, retires what didn't, and queues experiments for tomorrow. Knowledge compounds. The fund gets smarter while you sleep.
MT5-native execution
Ships with a hardened MT5 EA. No custom broker integration, no slippage from a webhook bridge — orders fire from the same client your broker already trusts. Works with any MT5-compatible broker.
Discipline you can read in plain English.
Every decision the fund makes is journaled — to markdown on disk, and to Postgres for replay. Open context/journal/ at any time and read why the CEO went DEFENSIVE, why the Risk Gate vetoed a setup, or why Macro called the tape RISK_OFF.
- Macro Officer reads geopolitics, central banks, broker mail.
- CEO sets stance: AGGRESSIVE / NORMAL / DEFENSIVE / LOCKDOWN.
- Strategy bank fires only setups that match the active stance.
- Risk Gate + FactChecker + DoubleChecker must all sign.
- Emergency watchdog can L4 HALT every agent — even the CEO.
- SelfOptimizer reviews the day, retires what failed, queues experiments.
Field notes from the desk.
How a 32-Agent AI Hedge Fund Beats a Single-Model Bot
Single-model bots have one model and one opinion. Real hedge funds have departments, vetoes, and an emergency reflex. iQntX is what happens when you port that org chart to AI agents.
What Is Multi-Agent Trading? (And Why It Beats Single-Model Bots)
Single-model bots have nothing to veto them. Multi-agent trading systems have a council. Here is what 'multi-agent' actually means — and why it is the architecture institutional desks have used for 30 years, now finally available to retail traders.
What Is an AI Hedge Fund? (And How It's Different From a Trading Bot)
Calling a trading bot an 'AI hedge fund' is the 2026 version of calling a chatbot an 'AGI.' Here is what an AI hedge fund actually is — the org chart, the discipline, the audit trail — and how to spot the renamed bots.
Frequently asked questions
Common questions from prospective operators. The full methodology is on /methodology.
What is iQntX, in one sentence?
iQntX is a 32-agent AI hedge fund delivered as software — a CEO agent sets the macro stance, a Macro Officer reads the tape, and five departments (Risk, Strategy, Execution, Intelligence, Macro) coordinate every trade on a single Windows host connected to MT5.
How is this different from an EA or a single-model trading bot?
Most retail systems are one model with a UI. iQntX is an organization: 32 agents with separate roles, an emergency reflex that can override the CEO, a fact-checker that signs every decision, and a markdown audit trail you can read in plain English weeks after a trade. The architecture is what survives a 30-year career instead of a 30-day streak.
Which brokers and instruments does it work with?
Any broker that supports MetaTrader 5. The system trades FX majors, gold, oil, indices, and major crypto pairs offered by your broker. There is no separate broker integration — orders fire from the same MT5 client your broker already trusts.
Do I need to run a server, deal with Docker, or set up infrastructure?
No. The current architecture is a single Python process under NSSM on a Windows host (your VPS or a local machine), with Supabase as the database. No Docker, no Kubernetes, no n8n. The install script is the operator surface.
How does iQntX handle risk?
Risk is the system, not a layer on top. The Risk Gate must sign off on every trade. An independent watchdog can issue an L4 HALT that overrides every other agent — including the CEO. Stance is dynamic (AGGRESSIVE / NORMAL / DEFENSIVE / LOCKDOWN), and DEFENSIVE/LOCKDOWN cut size and tighten stops automatically.
What does early access include?
Joining the waitlist gets you queued for a private cohort. Cohorts open in waves so the system never gets in front of itself. Early-access pricing is locked at the moment you sign up, and you can leave the list at any time.
Is this investment advice or a managed account?
No. iQntX is software that automates a discretionary trading strategy you authorize. We are not a regulated investment adviser, and nothing on this site constitutes investment advice. Trading involves substantial risk of loss.
